Cclanus Tennessee is from southwest Philadelphia. As a youth, he faced many obstacles coming from a single-parent household in a poverty-stricken neighborhood. Cclanus envisioned becoming a lawyer and making a difference in his community. He was surrounded by drugs, violence, and no substantial support or guidance he turned to his only dependable outlet, sports. Cclanus excelled as a basketball player from a very young age and was determined to make a way for himself in this world. He attended the Community College of Philadelphia for a short time but eventually left in order to raise his family. He began to think of the opportunities he wanted to provide for his children and felt that he not only wanted greater opportunities for his own children but for all of the children in the Philadelphia area. He’s creating the Tennessee Program as a means to give back to the community that raised him and to empower the children just like him living in these all too common conditions. Cclanus believes that with the proper guidance and education that you can make your dreams come true.
